The
road to the northern emirates of uae is one of the most scenically
spectacular in the Emirates; you emerge from the magnificent sand dunes
of the central region to be met by the grand Hajar Mountains at the town
of Dhaid. Our first stop is the Friday market that was originally
established for Fridays but is now open everyday. Proceeding onwards we
move towards the14th century Bithna Fort followed by a lovely drive
towards the picturesque emirate of Fujairah. We then head towards one of
the beach hotels for a lunch.
After lunch we proceed to the
scenic fishing village of Dibbah. The mountain village of Khassab is the
next "Must-See" on this tour, where the friendly Shihu Tribe
still lives in houses built of rock. We then cross the Musandam
Peninsula, which belongs to the Oman, on rough tracks through the narrow
gorges up to a height of nearly 1200 meters. From there, you will have
an astonishing view of fascinating cliffs and deep canyons.
Afterwards
we head back to Dubai with a drive through the Emirates of Ras Al
Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman and Sharjah.
